In short
We do not place analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and we do not use local storage to follow you. The techniques below are either cookieless or strictly necessary for security and for the form you choose to use. Under Dutch law (article 11.7a of the Telecommunicatiewet), these do not require consent, but we do want to tell you about them.
Cookieless statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, how often pages are visited and whether the website loads quickly. According to Cloudflare, this script does not place cookies and does not use local storage or other browser storage, and it does not create a profile of you.
Bot protection on forms
On pages with a form, such as the contact page and the free scan request, Cloudflare Turnstile loads from challenges.cloudflare.com. It checks whether a form is sent by a person rather than an automated program. To do this, it processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser information and may use technical storage within its own security frame. This is strictly necessary to protect the form you are using.
Network security by our host
Our website runs on Cloudflare. If Cloudflare detects unusual or suspicious traffic, it can place strictly necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance, to tell people and bots apart. These cookies are not used for tracking or advertising. In normal use, our website does not set them.
Links to other websites
We link to our Instagram and LinkedIn pages and to external sources in our articles. These are ordinary links, not embedded content. The other websites only place cookies when you visit them, under their own cookie policies.
How can you manage cookies?
You can view and delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can block cookies from specific websites. If you block Cloudflare’s security techniques, the forms on this website may not work; you can always email us instead.
Changes and questions
If we ever add techniques that require your consent, we will ask for it first and update this statement. Questions? Email [email protected]. More about how we handle personal data can be found in our privacy statement.
